Confusing Decision About Evga GTX 970 vs GTX 960 SLi

Hey...
One guy told me that it would be better to buy 2x Gtx 960 and put them into sli,instead of buying
Gtx 970 SC. This really confused me and i would really appriciate an advanced answer about this ...

My Components Are :

Cpu : AMD FX-8350 4.0GHZ 8-CORE BOX

MOBO : ASUS M5A97 R2.0

GPU : EVGA GEFORCE GTX970 SUPERCLOCKED ACX 2.0 4GB GDDR5

RAM : G.SKILL F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 PC3-14900 1866MHZ RIPJAWSX DUAL CHANNEL KIT

Hard Drive : SEAGATE ST1000DM003 1TB BARRACUDA 7200.14 SATA3

PSU : COOLERMASTER G750M GM SERIES 750W MODULAR PSU –80+ BRONZE

It might technically give you more processing power, but I would prefer having one gtx 970 and get more vram than deal with sli issues. Anyway, a single 970 should be cheaper. If you want to spend more look for a deal on a 980

Yes,two gtx 960s in Sli deliver more performance than a single 970 but in overall price the 960s cost more.So for the price of two 960s you can get a 980 which in my opinion is much better.
