Hi Everyone,

Could you please help me with my query.

I have a HDD and HP EX900 NVME X4 SSD connected to AORUS X470 Gaming 7 Motherboard. I want to buy a cheap SATA SSD. This motherboard has two M.2 Slots. If I connect the second SSD, will there be any bottleneck or performance throttling (individual SSD's) ?
Do I need to setup RAID?

Yes, the cheap drive is M.2 128GB SATA.

The manual says:
1xM.2 connector (Socket 3, M Key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe x4/x2 SSD Support) M2A_SOCKET
1xM.2 connector (Socket 3, M Key, type 2242/2260/2280 PCIe x4/x2 SSD Support) M2B_SOCKET

Does that mean slot A can run either SATA or NVMe; whereas the slot B will run only NVMe?
It doesn't talk about exclusion like slot A or slot B ot both slots can be used at a time.

Thank you!

I will connect both the drives and run Crystal Disk Mark 6 tests to verify if everything is fine.
