Question Connecting 6 pin on an 8 pin GPU

Hi everyone. I just need help with my gpu or psu, i don't know. Earlier i was playing pubg and all of a sudden my pc shut down i tried opening the game 3 times but my pc keeps on shutting down so i open my pc case remove the gpu check the 2+6 pin connector and the last hole in the 6 pin has melted or burned. But my psu has another 6 pin connector although it's not the same size as the 6 pin with 2 pin i have been using on my gpu until now. Now my question is can i use only the 6 pin connector for my rx 580? even though it has 8 pin connector?

Absolutely not. That is the EPS connector that goes to the motherboard. That is not meant for the PCIe video cards.

I'm not sure if it would even plug in.

I've another question. My psu has 4 or 6 (i think) 8 pin connector. Does any of those 8 pin ok to use for my gpu?

I'm not sure I follow the question - for your RX580, you can use an 8-pin, or a 6+2 pin. Most modern PSUs have them all as 6+2 pin. The PSU will likely have multiples of them, you can use any. They typically will have "PCIe" printed on the plastic connector part.
