Connecting Access Point to Switch

I recently changed my network configuration from Modem > Router > Switch > Access Point, to Modem > Switch > Access Point. I removed the Router from my set up because I had the wireless connection on the Router set to OFF so not to conflict with my Access Point.

Now, I'm unable to bring up my Access Point setup page by typing in it's fixed IP Address on any of my computers (hardwired to switch and wireless off the Access Point). Any ideas as to how to access my Access Point? It broadcasts a wireless connection but I'm unable to access it online through it's fixed IP Address.

You need a router-whether or not you enable WiFi (which won't interfere with your access point if you use a different chanel- 1, 6, or 11) between your modem and switch. You need the router to assign IP addresses to the devices that connect to your network. Most modems cannot do that for an entire network.

My Arris modem is acting as the router/modem with wireless turned off. I'm sorry but I'm not super tech savvy. I think my Time Warner cable tech set the modem up as a bridge. Everything is working great. I have several computers hard wired to the switch which are getting fast internet connections. My Engenius AP is also on the switch and is broadcasting a wireless signal and working correctly. My problem is I want to access the Engenius AP but when I try to connect using the IP address that was assigned to the AP previously when there was a Netgear router between the Modem and Switch, I can't get in.

Connecting to the AP depends on how you set it up and whether or not it is acting as a router.
Most likely, your router(modem) is using a different subnet scheme than the router you used before. You won't be able to access its static IP unless you use a computer configured to be on the same subnet as the static IP.
