Question Connecting PC to downstream Router

I am a bit of a noob in these matters and can't find a satisfying answer anywhere else.

I have connected a downstream router, which is next to my PC, by deactivating DHCP and assigning an IP address to the router.

Now I can connect the PC to the Wireless Network of the downstream router, but I cannot connect a LAN Cable directly.

What configuration to I need to complete to be able to also connect a LAN Cable to directly or is this not possible?

If you have disabled the DHCP, then ensure that you are connecting the internet side ethernet cable to a LAN port.
