I have been looking at ASUS mobo and they use an 8 pin 12v connector. The power supplies only show 4 pin 12v hook-ups. How do you connect a power source if it only has 4 pin connectors to mobo? This really has gotten me confused in trying to order power supply. They all say 4 pin 12v connector. None I have seen say 8 pin 12v connection with power source. It is going in a mid-tower with a
M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 mobo and a Phenom II 965 which takes the 8 pin 12v connector. Can anyone help? Are there power supplies out there that have an 8 pin connector, or do I need to put two of the 4 pin side by side together?

All of the newer PSU's that I have seen either have both 4 and 8 pin CPU power connectors or a single "4+4" connector that fits into an 8 pin socket as is or a 4 pin socket when split. For example, Corsair PSU's use a single "4+4" connector.

So that is what you look for in cables.

I found one and it is running my ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 880G R with an AMD 965 125w CPU overclocked a bit just fine. Thanks everyone for great answers!
