Connecting speakers to mobile phone

I am going to buy these speakers in a week but firstly want to clear my some doubts.
Can I use Logitech Z906 5.1 speakers with my mobile phone? Will they work with my handset or they are only made for pc's?
Will they work if I use a 3.5mm RCA cable and connect them to my mobile phone?

PC's. The only thing it'll do to a mobile is drain its battery

yes, but they will be stereo.

Personally, I would buy a real receiver and speakers. New ones have bluetooth, so you be able to connect them wirelessly too.

If you want bluetooth, this receiver does need an adapter.
