hey guys , my LED TV has no Built in WiFi and the only way to project my phone's screen is to buy an HDMI cable that connects them together . But that would be abit difficult to use so i was thinking , can i buy Wi-Fi USB Dongle and use Phone's Mirror Screen feature ? does it even work that way ?

Unrelated Question : Smart TVs have not only a built in WiFi but an interface that allows you to surf the web and watch YouTube ( a Mini OS if you will ) donno how to address it 😀 . is there any External Device that can bring such feature to an LED TV that lacks built in WiFi ?

For mirroring your screen you could use either of the cast devices of which I had mentioned.
But the only Wifi dongle that I know of is the LinkStick which works with a Samsung TV

So not any random WiFi USB would work right ? i thought i can just plug in any wifi usb and then my phone will just recognize it and will mirror . thanks alot for your suggestions . ok just let me get this right before i buy either of those things you mentioned

So i buy Miracast and i plug it in my Samsung LED TV ( which has no Internet or Wifi ) and then what will happen ? will i get a Smart TV like Interface which i can use to surf the web and watch youtube and also connect to wifi and obviously mirror screen ?

Wait wait, Miracast WILL NOT give you a smart TV interface. It'll will merely let you mirror your device's screen.

If you want to make your TV a smart TV there are a 2 things:
Android TV Sticks and Android TV Boxes

While these are available, they're usually made by companies which aren't that mainstream like Tronsmart which has both sticks and boxes, Matricom, MXQ, MXPro, etc.

Edit 1: I think you're assuming Miracast is a device, it's merely a standard over which devices can transmit data to your TV via the HDMI port, quoting Wikipedia "'Miracast is HDMI without the cable'". But don't worry, just buy a dongle which utilizes Miracast.

oh wow , so ok let me see if i got all the info right , i have three options

1. Chromecast is Wireless HDMI . Best Quality and Speed out of all three options here

2. WIFI USB Which Makes my TV a Connectable source and allows me to Mirror my phone's screen on the TV ( i assume any wifi USB can do this ) . and its also worse than option 1 since its not done by HDMI and its a mirroring via Home WiFi .

3.Android TV Sticks , Unlike above options i don't need my phone anymore because the TV it self will have Internet + Interface to watch YouTube and stuff and i can also mirror my phones Screen with it right ?

Did i get the options right ? and which one will cost me less ? sorry i'm not familiar with these stuff 😀

1.Chromecast is really not the best. I have one and it's pretty laggy when you have to mirror a device. It's only good when you want to stream a video from services like Netflix, YouTube, etc. without using your phone. Like you just set it on your phone and then leave it, it'll then stream directly from the internet.
But the best for mirroring would be a Miracast device.

2. Of this I've never heard. As far as I know wifi USBs require drivers to run and I don't know how that would be fixed on a TV

3. Instead of this, I suggest you go for a Android TV Box, commonly called Kodi boxes, rather than a stick cause the box will be more powerful as it accommodates more hardware and you can do much more.

Based on reviews I think the first one is better.
