Yesterday, I moved my computer (an Asus laptop from maybe 2013-14) from one corner of my room to the other, and all of a sudden the WiFi connection to my router keeps dropping. This has happened before, and I've formatted the computer/reinstalled Windows 10 which fixed it up until now.

What could've gone wrong? How can I fix this?

Specs, if that helps:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4700HQ @3.3GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR3-1600MHz
HDD: HGST HTS721075A9E630 (700GB)
dGPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M
iGPU: Intel HD 4600

Solution
A wireless signal travels on a line-of-sight path. It can be weakened by dense objects such as large appliances. If you want to keep your laptop in a spot where the signal is weak, try a wifi booster or upgrade to mesh networking. I bought Google mesh for my daughter some time ago and it solved endlessly frustrating problems.
