Of course I'm not saying any posters here are dead fish, but there's a lot of fishy talk going on......

Can everyone please be civilised and stop shouting at each other. Can we have some interesting discussions on Conroe's archirecture, rather than all this stupid, insubstantiated FUD based on some fairly opaque benchmarks.

I log in, and I see the entire first page is taken up with shouting about conroe's performance, or how benchies are rigged, when the simple fact is no-one really knows. So can you all just shut the f|_|ck up. Thank you.

Are the Xbox360 controllers much different to the old xbox controllers? I hate them. Why did they call it the 360 anyway? Did they just have 358 failed versions before they got something marketable? :lol: That sounds like M$.....

I'll probably go for a PS3, if I have to choose one. More likely I'll just live with the PC a while.

Hmm... If I change the '2' into a '3' on my PS2, how much could I get some idiot to pay for it on ebay?..... :twisted:

Speaking of conroe, i read (a while ago) some BS article with some professional analiser critic BSing how conroe will come in at 3ghz and it will then barly match some AMD and how we will see the mem controller in conroe and so on - this guy was some high class and he got it totally wrong i wish i had the link still.

Anyhow - conroe = faster, HOW???? - could it be the 4 instructions per clock vs AMD and P4's 3 IPC??? or the smarter cache? or SSE4 or some other unknown boost technology?

And the FSB - the P4 made us think it was slow and out dated, but looks like its either not, conroe (or P6) is more FSB efficent, or conroe uses it totally diffrently (some sort of que commanding for the fsb)?

And finally - SuperPi benchmarks - A Pentium M dothan @ 3.8? ghz gets ~20 seconds, whats conroe going to do? ~25?
