Hey,
I'm having this issue for some time now,In all games I have above 60fps,but still,I have those weird stuters when I move in the game ususally,I have no idea how to fix it,tried reinstalling windows, reinstalling drivers, nothing had worked.
I'm pretty desperate, and I have a feeling that my gpu is damaged or something,is there any solution??
The stutters are NOT frame drops, they are just stutters while running or just playing.

Run RTSS in the background and check FPS closely. If it is high FPS, then drops when you get more excessive stutter, that usually indicates a bottleneck. CPUs are quite often the cause of it. If your CPU is not able to keep up with the GPU, the rendering will bog down as the GPU waits to be sent new rendering data from the CPU.

If you think from the above this might be the case, you can monitor while playing with MSI Afterburner via it's onscreen readout. Check for extremely high CPU usage percentage, with GPU usage being lower than normal.

If none of the above is the problem, it could be high temps or a failing part, including PSU.

My cpu is not the problem,I have an R9 290 and an i5 6500,how can I check for a failing part?

I think that's the case here,is there any solution to this problem?

That spec is fairly well balanced. Yes, the kind of stutter I'm talking about often looks like judder, but the only way I can imagine your CPU bottle necking is if it's defective, is unstable due to improper OC settings, or has temp issues.

Check temps and run MSI Afterburner while playing as suggested.

That said, some games that are poorly coded exhibit micro stutter, such as Far Cry 4. There are often workarounds, like disabling mip mapping via a file edit.

Is this happening in all games, or just one?

In CS GO it doesn't happen, but in most of them it does,I did an oc to my monitor to 70hz,the problem was still there when it was 60hz though..
Okay I talked with the place I bought my pc and they'll check my gpu and if there's any problem they'll replace it/fix for me..
Lucky I have warranty,I just need to find the time to go there..If you guys have any solution you think might change something I'm still willing to try..

You've yet to even respond whether you checked temps or ran MSI Afterburner. The stores you buy from often only check so much, and rush through it. Especially if you bought from a big store with low prices. Best to learn the type of things I suggested yourself. They're not that hard to do, and the software is free to use.

GET TO KNOW YOUR PC!!!

Okay,I've checked the temps with Rainbow Six Siege, and I saw that in mid game It got to 88 degrees (celsius of course).
I think that's pretty regular, right? I really need your help with this dude,I know you're trying and I know you have experience I just really want to get this fixed already,it's driving me crazy..
Another thing,in games like Rainbow Six Siege etc,I do have those problems, but in CS GO I actually don't,is there any decent explanation to this?

Specifics please, WHAT measured 88c? I assume you mean the GPU? And what did you measure it with? And what is your ambient, room temp?

Also, monitor CPU and GPU usage in Afterburner.

88c on a GPU is pretty high really. If that's the case, you may need better airflow in your case, maybe even a custom fan speed profile for the GPU.

I don't recall you mentioning, but what case are you using? Also, if you have a phone cam or something, take a pic of the inside of your case and post it. It may need to have cables routed better.

Yes,the 88c is for the gpu,my case is ippon i04 case gaming beast black with 2x 120mm fan.
I can't really say if it's a problem with the cables inside, because the place I bought it from arranged the cables and tied them..
Do you have a skype? I hope it's not a too much of a request but if we could talk there it would be much appreciated,my skype is evyatar_hadar,if you don't want to add me that's fine,we'll just try to solve this here 🙂

Okay, but you think the temps are the cause?
because my friend has almost the same pc as I do,and he has the same case too..and he has no problems..I really don't know what to do /:

No..

Hello,

1) If 2 sticks of Ram make sure they are in the right slots, so they run in dual mode, otherwise you will get microstutters in gaming.

2) at 88c the card may be throttling, get the thermal paste changed then test again.

3) try connecting using a DVI cable or DP cable rather than HDMI, as HDMI can increase input lag a little bit.

4) Force V sync off in your graphics panel , then use something like DXtory to limit FPS to 60 or try 58

5) 4k reads may be extremely low on a dodgy drive compare it to picture below, of my standard Toshiba mechanical 7,200 rpm 1tb
This could cause it too.

6) sounds crazy but faulty , bad poling mice can crrash pc, cause stutter when games are lower fps, borrow your mates mouse and check.

What temps is the CPU running at while gaming?

Thank you for the help,is the thermal paste already on the gpu when you first buy it?

Thanks, it does seem too hot , im sure its this, if not
try 1-6 in my previous message

(CPU-z will tell you if its running in dual mode)
