Here's my shot- with my logic for it. The case is broken into 3 discrete area with a resultant loss of space for the interior dividers. The photo shows the PSU compartment divider still exists. I assume that means the SATA drive bay has not been removed. The photo shows what appears to be tape across the drive bay front panel. Perhaps that means the pressure from so much candy corn would otherwise open the panel! So I deduce it is completely filled, not just a thin facade of candy corn at the side panel window.

I estimate 9 candy corn per cubic inch. 24 X 24 X 9 X 9= 46,656. Less a certain amount of loss for the interior dividers and random corn placement. Arbitrarily I guess 10%. That leaves 41990.4 candy corn.

That's my story and I'm sticking with it!

[citation][nom]taishar[/nom]Yeah, if the HD bays have been removed, that'd allow ~ 2000 more candy corn to fit.[/citation]
or... you fill the HDD bays with candy

Glad to see everyone's predictions are either way higher or way lower than mine. Hopefully the submitted projections are following the same pattern. I can be 10k off in any direction and still win.

Do I have to be closest with out going over? lol sorry for the Price is Right reference.... :)

Anyway it was fun to try and guess how many would fit :) great contest!!! (I would not mind even winning a 32GB flash drive sounds sweet!!!)

Happy Halloween everyone !!!

The answer is noone is going to count every single one. In the video they said they already know the amount. Which means they know approximately how many per case (on average) and how many cases they put in.
Either that or they filled the case, emptied it and weighed the candy corn, then used average candy corn/pound to figure the number.

Watch the video carefully and you'll have a pretty good idea of how many cases they put in.

As previously mentioned however, there are structural elements within the case which limit how much candy may be added. Even if you knew exactly how much candy corn will fit in those dimensions, you have to shave some off from the total number.

Its still a total guess, just like any contest should be.

Although if you actually owned the case you could determine the dimensions of each compartment and have a fairly good idea, but still a guess really.

[citation][nom]amdgamer666[/nom]Are we allowed to know if the case is as-is or did you take out the hdd bays or other internals somehow?[/citation]
that wouldnt make that much of a difference to begin with

Good idea

I saw a "guess how many pennies are in this" at the mall, but they didn't have a prize, they just wanted you to call so they could sell you something.
