What's your Contrast & Brightness set at?

I used a program that came with my video card, and for best gaming graphics it is set at.
Contrast at 100
Brightness around 30

Now with new monitor
Contrast at 100
Brightness 82
Hmm big differernce, but now 30 is way to low.

Also, does anybody now of any reason not to set Contrast to 100%?

Hey Baby, want to play with my computer?

If u set your contrast and brightness you will not be able to differentiate subtle shades of gray.

I just found this FREE video calibration program at http://www.freepctech.com/rode/004.shtml

All the other ones I found you had to pay for

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nd4? 4.Nxe5?? Qg5 5.Nxf7 Qxg2 6.Rf1 Qxe4+ 7.Be2 Nf3#

That is a pretty good software, I used it to help center my screen.

I don't get it, because if you don't set it, you might not be able to differentiate subtle shades of gray. Therefor you may not have any choice, but to set it.

I don't have any problems, but curious to what others are setting theirs at. My new monitor uses Dimondtro and is the only thing I can figure for such a change in Brightness from my preference setting on a different monitor.

I should proof read my posts better, what I meant to say was if contrast & brightness are set to high, You won’t be able to distinguish slight differences in shade.
