Converting Geforce2 GTS Into the Powerful Quadro 2 Workstati

Has anyone heard the news! All of the Geforce2 GTS cards and Quadro 2 cards are manufactured on the same process. By changing a couple of 10k resistors that are illustrated in this link: <A HREF="http://www.geocities.com/tnaw_xtennis/Quadro1-2.htm" target="_new"> Geforce 2 to Quadro 2 Hack</A>
and this link is for people that have successfully applied the graphics card hack <A HREF="http://209.54.94.35/ECE9" target="_new"> Database of Successful Hacks</A>. This hack only benefits the professional opengl apps like 3dstudiomax, autocad 2000, solidworks 99, etc.

It sure beats paying three to four times as much for a good Open Gl graphics card! I hope everyone with a modest amount of soldering skills and a Geforce card trys this hack.

does the identification for the GeForce2 Ultra differ from the GTS?? I've done the GeForce2 GTS but haven't looked at converting the Ultra yet. And how the hell do you do it at home? I had to give it to a friend who did on some big machine that heat blasted it or something it was specially made for removing and setting SMCs.

I have a question... i own a geforce but what would making it a quadro do for me if im not into production like 3dsmax? i mean i use the gf for games would making it into a quadro actually boost performance?
