Question Cooler for FX8350

Is this cooler Antec C40 good for FX8350 or should i get CoolerMaster Hyper 212?

It's not great, but should be in the same ballpark as the 212.

Do you already have the 8350 and using it? If so, what cooler are you using/why are you looking to replace?

Yeah already have it . Im currently using Zalman cnps9900a

Are you having temperature issues? While that cooler is a bit 'old school' at this point, if it works sufficiently, I wouldnt' recommend investing any money into the platform. If your temps are excessive (and you've cleaned etc), then a cheap cooler like the 212 should suffice.

Well the temps go to 75C° while gaming and ive got 5 fans in my case

What are you using to monitor temperatures? If that's under full load, I wouldn't think it's 'bad', but it's been a while since I've looked into temps of FX chips.

I'm not 100% here, but IIRC, most software doesn't capture CPU temps accurately, and they're inflated by X'C.

I believe AMD Overdrive, measuring Thermal Margin which works backwards (degrees to 0) is the way to go for FX chips.... but not 100% on that.

Hopefully someone else can confirm.
