So I have just built a pc. But, the stock case fan doesn't seem to fit. Idk, the case fan port looks sorta like a molex plug, and there's like 2 of them... idk, but if someone could help that would be great. Is there a way I could provide a photo of the case fan plug?
Thanks

The CPU header.....which is where you plug the cpu fan into....is right above the large heatsink at the TOP of the motherboard. It is marked as CPU_Fan1.

The CASE fan headers....there are 2 of them and they are the 4-pin pwm plug....are on the LOWER RIGHT SIDE of the motherboard and are marked Cha_Fan1 and Cha_fan2.

There are several different fan plugs. Most commonly, you would have a 3-pin plug (which is a small plug), a 4-pin (another small plug), and the more common molex as your most popular types.

THE FIRST PICTURE HERE is an example of the three types of connecters I described.

Okay thanks, but I have the 3 pin plug thing, and I don't know where to put it. Do I just plug it into the case fan port with 4 pins, but just have 1 pin empty. Sorry, it's my first build.

What motherboard is this? When asking questions in threads, it is better to list your system specs completely so we all know what the situation is.

I have an ASRock H170A-X1 Motherboard. I don't think I can put this case fan onto my mobo. Would I need an adapter?

Yes, I know I just figured it out myself. It was pretty stupid of me. Thanks
