So I'm trying to install a optical drive in the Cooler Master Masterbox 5, but when i put in my optical drive, the front cover wont fit (I also use a make-shift 5.25" bay, so could anyone link me a 5.25" bay for this case)
The front cover won't fit because as far as I know the Mastercase 5 doesn't have the cut out on the front cover for optical drives. I guess you'd have to make it with specific tools like CNC and whatnot.

He said Masterbox 5. And you can buy an OFFICIAL optical bay from them for the Masterbox 5, so why would it not be possible? As for your question OP, I'm not quite sure, sorry! I hope you've had your question answered elsewhere now.
You do not need to make any cuts at all. I bought the same a year or so ago and love it. I bought the Conversion pack from coolermaster and it looks great.
Here's a link to the European site - https://www.cmstore.eu/case/accessories/masterbox-5-conversion-kit-for-5-25support/
I'm sure they have it all over the world though.... hope you didn't cut it... 20€ - well worth it

Not sure if you already cut it or found the kit....
