i have heard of seasonic but i read online they arent that good sometimes

Rosewill are hit and miss between quality and junk. Seasonic is one of the top brands out there; all of their lines are near top quality (as far as I'm aware of). If you have a choice between a Rosewill, Seasonic, Corsair, or EVGA at a similar price, always get the Seasonic.

want to get it but its £86 here

Read reviews.

As for SeaSonic, they've delievered SINCE early 2000s.... They've been around for a LONG time and have been creating power supplies that exceed expectations like the first 80+ compliant power supply. They also make a lot of the power supplies you know today, like the EVGA G series, old Corsair AX series, amongst others. So, are they among the best? Yeah. They made the AX series you know about.

so the 80+ thing is only the fan noice and how well it can work without using much power right?

But it's cheaper and more efficient at 10% load...

You know what? Why not just get this.

AKA EVGA G2.

edit: that is NOT the g2 , the superflower leadex gold is

You see , with seasonic I wouldn't buy the old s12 or m12 units unless they're cheap.
They're good quality still yes but a 5 year old outdated group regulated platform & there are just better Psu's available now for similar money.

Corsair CX 650m & corsair cx650 non modular (just released in the UK)
Evga b2
Evga GQ
Evga g2
Evga g3

All those are very good units with a minimum 5 year warranty & in all honesty you should just pick the best priced one available at the current time.

The capstone I linked earlier is an upgraded fully modular version of the b2 (the same super flower platform)

That superflower listed is not a g2 , the g2 is based on the newer leadex dc-dc regulated platform.
The capstone is exactly the same psu as that super flower but modular & £10 less.

Be very careful with open box modular PSU's , I've bought before cheap & had missing cables etc

Unscrupulous people buy these , steal cables & return them with bits missing - they are very rarely checked properly on return.

Id email them & ask about contents because that is a truly great price for what is one of the top tier platforms.

i am going to choose this power supply after reading some reviews it seems good

& I would get a brand new g2 ;-)
That said the gs is good too , they're both better than the old golden green platform (which is still great but old), they're both modular , with the g2 you get better efficiency at low loads because it's a dc-dc unit & an extra 2 years warranty.

mackevicius - a review of the g2 , you will then understand why its been THE recommended mainstream PSU for mid-high end builds for the last 2 years (& theres a direct comparison to the GS here too)
