I am tasked with building a computer on a 7000$ Canadian budget I was given a very vague idea on what its going to be used for gaming/workstation not very helpful but with my knowledge of coolers being a bit lacking I am not sure on what cooler to get him also not sure if he is going to overclock or not.

This is what I believe to be the best build. You may want a sound car on top but This is a 4k Gaming/working build. I was tempted to go with 2 titans but this seemed better

I believe that the i7 5930K is enough. The 32 GB of Ram is probably more beneficial as well as another monitor.

Except the RAM "could" give you problems. I'd get F4-2400C15Q-32GRK or F4-2666C15Q-32GRK. The blues and reds have some bad reviews with some kind of issues.

RAM is more important than the cores on this as I believe that first off, gaming only sports one core then secondly graphics and rendering there really won't be too much different in and for the budget I'd rather get more RAM than an extra 2 cores.

But since when would 64GB ever be needed?:/ I mean my build is a bit wishy washy with GTX 980's but I believe Nvidia tech is better than the majority of AMD tech in the same league, even if the AMD stuff is cheaper

And you said it yourself this is a 4k gaming build, 295x2 is purely for 4k, not 980. Since it IS for 4k gaming like you said, 2x 295x2 is 4 GPUs for $1300, while 4x 980 is $2,200-2,400.

More RAM as in 32GB sorry. I contradicted myself a little, 64GB can be a bit expensive on DDR4. You can only SLI 3 980's I believe and I now believe I have made a mistake on my personal rig XD Might have to send back my posiden when it gets to me and buy a 295x2. :S I do however think the 980's are a great card none the less.

My build is what I chose including windows and all the peripherals because I think it'd work the best through personal experience. I know that the 295X2 runs alot hotter than the GTX 980 too, while being less power happy. It was just food for thought anyway!

295x2 is hotter? Where did you hear that? Who had that rig and fry themselves? From my personal experience, and for their information, I have 2x 295x2 running 4k ultra settings and my max temperature is 74C. That's pretty low temperature for such high settings.

Ah, I can't really remember where I heard it from but it's something that's also I suppose an AMD thing, none the less it is watercooled.
