I just bought this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817159162
COOLMAX ZPG-700B 700W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Power Supply

I have been looking around and cannot seem to find ANY actual reviews on this exact model. I have heard that some of coolmax products are total trash and some are great. The only reveiws i can find directly relating to this model are the buyer reviews found on newegg.com. There was only 2 reviews but both of them were good reviews. After seeing this power supply for $40.00 after rebate it was hard to pass up, seeing as how it was the cheapest gold certified power supply I have seen yet. So i figured at least it wouldnt hurt to try the thing out! I plan on using it in a computer that will eventually have a 6 core AMD proccesor, 8gig of DDR3 RAM, a Radeon R7 260X, and i would like to eventually be able to crossfire the Radeon R7 without having to replace power supply.
PLEASE, do not turn this thread into a I HATE COOLMAX THEY BROKE MY PC. I am looking for opinions on this exact power supply. I am happy to hear reviews on coolmax as whole but id like some actual facts about why they are bad 😉. not just hate rage.
If I must I will return it, but like i said, im paying 40 dollars for it..so.

as for me the psu is as important as the rest of the build..

your best to spend the extra cash on a nice quality build and have peace of mind that its one that will hold and give headroom for oc-ing or upgrades

you may just get what you pay for [or most times less] I just cant trust my primary build to a sub standard psu ...

evga got a 750w G2 unit with rebate for like 96 bucks that would be the way to go

P.S

''Choosing the right PSU is an important decision for the enthusiast because it is the backbone of any system. Buying an inferior, no-frills unit brings with it many consequences – some of which can be catastrophic. I’ve personally read of many stories of various individuals who have been strapped for cash and gone down this route, these cheaper units can often blow and when they do, they will take everything with it. So you may think spending all of your money on the core components like CPU, GPU, motherboard and then very little on the PSU is a good thing – this may change when it goes up in smoke! ''

Yeah iv read several of his reviews on different coolmax models, and some are OKAY and some are garbage. However Iv also heard from multiple sources that Coolmax quality improves the higher you go. Its like they dont take any time on there low wattage PSU's, but seem to slightly care on the better ones, like 600W and above. I do not know if this is a fact seeing as how I have never used coolmax before.
