Hello everyone
Is there a way to set the dialogue box that appears when i copy or move files to always show details by editing the registry, or group policy. i don't want to use third party software

Solution
Windows 7 - correct?

You can set the dialogue box to show more/full details by editing the Registry.

Registry editing is serious and if something goes astray the consequences may be grave.

Be sure that all data is backed up and verified recoverable and readable. Save a copy of the Registry as well.

Here is a link that I found for Windows 8:

There was a very similar link for Windows 7 but I could not find it again. And I also encountered one of those fake websites claiming my computer was infected and blocked. Had to "End Task" Edge to get out.

Any way if you decide to go forward with the registry edit, carefully walkthrough...

Any way if you decide to go forward with the registry edit, carefully walkthrough the edit steps and doublecheck that each step is as in the link.

If not, make no registry changes and cancel out.
