Try to purchase your E6600 of buy.com

They have the best prices for the retail E6600 and the P5W DH Deluxe motherboard.

The mobo is sold out, and the E6600 is not expected by most e-tailers (including buy.com) until 8-16-06.

I saved lots of money and time going with buy.com, I just hope I get my cpu and motherboard in the actual 1-2 weeks which they quoted.

This sounds more like a practical joke.

They probably received too many emails asking about the C2D availability.
The "availiable for double price" sounds funny for me 😱

Sadly this is nothing new with newegg lately. For example with the AMD cuts Tigerdirect has the 939 4600 X2 for 255 and Newegg had it around 350, I think they have come down to about 329, similar "deals" for the 4800+ and other models.

Well it's not a mistake. They obviously have been listening to feedback and have changed the the 4mb cache on the e6300 down to 2mb. Looks like i'll finish building my rig at zzf.

Lol this has GOT to be a typo or they just don't want to sell any of them yet... I'm waiting for a E6600 anyways, and I'm going to wait for it to be priced around $340...

I hope those prices are a mistake. as for ZZF, I called their service center twice today, and one answer I got was a shipment of 6600s will be in today, and the second time I called, they said they won't get any in for a couple weeks. Anyone else tried calling them today?

its pure madness right now in all of these companies shipping departments! I dont think any of them know whats really coming to them anymore... thats why I went with Microcenter... they seemed to be on the ball somewhat! They recieved some X6800 here in michigan and sold them... then they got a new shipment at the warehouse and it looking like I was able to get one from them... At least thats what their department told me!

Newegg seems to be pulling me along but never giving me what I want which kinda has mad me upset... but i understand the situation and I still love newegg!

Newegg is started to become one of those ridiculous e-retailers. Newegg, you can kiss my A*S*S.
Just look at all the free advertisements/referrals they get on these forums. Whenever anyone asks for an opinion, 97% of the links provided are for Newegg. Good for Newegg, and reaffirms what they already know....They are the widely preferred on-line retailer, and if they want, they can/will abuse that also....for a while that is.

I love Newegg. Such great prices!
Pros: A great cpu and at such a low price! Way to go Newegg!...
Cons: Only 2mb cache.

what do you guys make of this review for the e6300 on newegg?? who in their right mind would say that? i feel like someone is planting patsy reviews...

Prices have come down for the e6300 - $359.00, e6400 still $399.00. I guess you have to wait a couple days for the prices at newegg to come back down to earth.

I thought it was a bad joke, but now it looks for real.

Screwegg, no kidding. Supply and demand, I suppose, but the madness of crowds is more like it. I give up, if I get a rig built by September I'll be happy, but this zaniness is just not an environment I want to shop in...

I just read those reviews and have to agree they are bull shit... $360?? when the same CPU is posted at $220 at ZZF??

I'm waiting for my E6600 to come to around $340 before I buy just because I don't want to reward these bastards for gouging, even if that means waiting months and months with my mobo/case/ram/vid card...

Yea the prices are steep and I hope a typo. I purchaced my computer components through Mark one computers

I placed 2 seperate orders one for the tower and one for the rest of the components and had no problems. They are out of Elk Grove,Il on the north west border of chicago.

Are they hidden somewhere? I went to CPUs and there is no Core 2 brand in the "Series" section - yes even when you click more. Damnit.

you just have to search for Exxx

Odd I went there and they were still the same.

Try the refresh button

I'm using IE7, I've had firefox cache pages even after I refresh... try exiting firefox and refreshing again... or try clearing you cache, trust me they've changed them...
