My dog peed on the back of my Lenovo ThinkPad P17 Gen 2 laptop. The vented cover that that ram sits under allowed some droplets in.

There is bad corrosion on the pcle bridge/connecter to the gpu and some minor corrosion on 2 of the 4 ram slots.

Nothing else seems to be damaged and I have tried to clean it twice. It used to beep the motherboard or memory diagnostic code and the fans spun like crazy but now it doesn't even do that, just a little fan noise and then dies. New motherboards are 1000$ and I cant find anyone willing to try to work on it. Any advice is welcome.

The corrosion damage on MoBo is so severe that no-one in their right mind would take the ordeal to replace the damage. Also, it seems the corrosion has seeped into PCB itself, making any repairs impossible. This leaves only MoBo replacement as only option.

For alternative option, buy a new laptop that costs less what the repairs would be. This way, you have new device to use.
And life lesson: keep pets away from sensitive electronics.

Btw, i too have a doggo and ours is trained not to pee indoors (something every dog owner must do with their pet). Moreover, our doggo (2 y.o Golden Retriever) doesn't have access to our sensitive electronics at all (e.g to chew on them). He has his own toys to chew on/play with.
