The Steam Spring sale was about to come to an end, so I picked up Far Cry 6 for $15. I haven't played any of the others in this series outside a demo here and there (and for this one). I've gotten in about an hour or two that felt like ten minutes. Hopefully I continue to enjoy it.

I am considering All of Us P1 as it is supposedly very multi-threaded, so it should be a good way to check out 16C/32T perf in game. The other consideration is a game that I probably won't play as much as I just launch it to look at. Ghosts of Tsushima. All of the footage of that second game is absolutely gorgeous.

It is actually right on top of the limit I like to set for myself for game purchases at ~$41. Where I can it is my choice to wait out (most) games until they have been out, updated, good reviews come in, AND where the price has dropped off significantly. I don't particularly care for paying $60 for a game. This method works well for me in that I also like to stay just behind the curve on the newest PC stuff so I can pick up deals and whatnot as they try to clear the hardware out for the new thing.

You can get all of the command and conquer games for 10 dollars currently, thats a very good deal for hundreds of hours of gaming.

This was one of my favorite games for the longest time. Eventually there was an issue with clock speeds of newer CPU and the game was over in mere minutes as you were crushed by the enemy. I was glad to see someone make this playable again with a patch.

Yeah the C&C games are quite the hit, there is actually one of them called C&C 3: Kane's wrath, and the original C&C3:TW that I still recon are some of the best and most enjoyable/ challenging RTS games ever, you can still go and join others in online play if you download the revora launcher to bypass the old and now none functioning original online servers that had been taken down, there is some real competitive players and such online, but mostly I just go there sometimes to play for fun, still have these games installed and never bothered to try anything else RTS game related besides Tropico, but those are not even comparable gameplay.

Besides It's great to read that most of toms hardware forums members are into some fun and entertaining gaming themselves, I'm looking forward to the new releases that I might get my hands on soon, but in the meantime I'm playing favorites over and over, last one I played was: Splinter Cell: Blacklist, such a shame this game only works in offline mode these days for me, but maybe it's for the better that that is the case since it can become super addictive if all of this game where to still be playable fully online, anyway coming back for some single player story mode every now and again is a great time, makes for a great gaming night, or stretched out over a couple of sessions over a few days playing it all from the beginning to the conclusion of the story/campaign.

Oh, nearly forgot to mention the F1®24 PC game I just recently purchased, still playing around with it all but so far I reckon it's done really well/ fun and enjoyable game modes, specially the F1 world mode, could do with some more varied events and/or challenges in different cinereous, but it's probably has that or might be coming, but I've only seen limited gameplay possibilities in my few hours of playing, another thing noticed is that one can't seem to skip playing practice sessions when doing a career play, seems like If one is to play these modes gaming sessions could be stretched out quite some over the usual qualify and race, I for one wouldn't mind to see that resolved to make the career mode more appealing for some pro one day full calendar playthrough.

I enjoy almost all of the Tom Clancy titles. I started with the old GRAW and have moved through most of the titles. Never really got into the Vegas one and thought that Breakpoint was just crap right off the rip. It is my understanding that the latter title has been revamped to a degree as to be unrecognizable, so might go back and try again someday. I did like Wildlands a lot but it is sort of one and done for me. The game was so expansive and took me many hours to complete everything that could be done that once I killed head bad guy I just use it mostly for a benchmark tool for older hardware now.

My go to game in that series is still The Division 2. I love the mechanics, I love the gameplay. I enjoy the fact that the publisher continues to do those seasonal challenges and that they slightly change the maps from time to time such as changing a door that used to not be the way to go, etc. I also find the game visually pleasing as well. In spite of all my time playing the game I have yet to "finish" it, if there even IS a way to complete it. Each time you beat the big boss it just comes back with tougher enemies and so on. Mostly, at this point, it is me running around turning bases back as the enemy forces pretty much just follow behind doing the same.

Favorite game at the moment, you guessed it: Cyberpunk 2077, just finished mission/quest 60 opted for one of the dlc endings, haha no chrome, no money, decreasing legend status then the end, least there something such as an autosave, could dive back in at anytime I figure... anyway the game looks and runs great on my upgraded pc in 4k Ultra 55~75fps and the occasional 100plus indoors.. what a way to play!

There's a Czechoslovakian game developer who's been making some interesting PC games recently. If you like psychological horror you should try Absolute Full-Life (like Cruelty Squad), Chat is Real, and maybe Project Three (early-access and is not a good game yet to be honest). The developer's name is The Only Way Out. I've played Absolute Full-Life all the way through twice, and it's honestly one of the most unique games I've ever played (also I've been playing ENA Dream BBQ a lot, it came out just a few days ago and it's free on Steam).

Well, Spider-man 2 has been running MUCH better with the new settings and a microcode update for my MB BIOS I missed when it released a couple months ago. I'm very near the end of the game now. The boss fights get more intense as you go. It's a pretty good game, it just needed more testing and polishing.

Next I'll be playing The Last of Us II Remastered. Hope that one runs well.

Back in to Starfield again. Glad I've got the temperament to play a slower game compared to stuff like Dying Light series, etc..
With the latest updates to it, role playing takes on a smoother experience. I get it that its not popular & plenty of comments on steam indicated that but there will always be haters of anything Bethesda puts out.

What game have you been playing recently? How did you find the experience of playing said game?

Any games you looking forward to? Why are you looking at those games?

Lately I've been playing Transistor which is pretty amazing - I would give it GOTY for the refreshing gameplay experience. I played some Always Sometimes Monsters which was pretty terrible to be perfectly honest - it felt like a horrible cheap shot RPG that punishes every choice you make unrealistically. I've just started to play Divinity and like every other RPG I haven't got my head around to how it works yet.

Right now I have my eyes set on Dragon Age: Inquisition - it's made by EA, so I'll be buying it after release 😉. Star Citizen looks pretty cool, but I'm not particularly interested in space sims - just the potential to advance PC graphics sounds amazing. I will very likely buy Sims 4 -> just for character creation (I'm a girl, after all). I haven't played Assassin's Creed, but the latest installment looks pretty neat with the co-op aspect.

How about the rest of you?
I still love the classic GTA games. I used to be a hardcore gamer during my high school and university days, but I hardly have time anymore due to work. GTA 4 and 5 and Max Payne 3 are what I play sometimes

I'm nearly to the end of my first play through of The Last of Us Part II Remastered. It's a very good game with lots of decent stealth sections, and also some scary monster segments that are more overt combat in between running for your life. The game runs and looks quite good, aside from Abby looking far too muscular to me. It's one of those games where the HDR looks almost non existent in some scenes due to overcast skies or dark indoor areas where you're just using a flashlight, but there are some scenes where the HDR also blows you away. One of my nit picks other than Abby's huge arms is the awkward way of switching weapons within a type (one handed or two handed). It takes a while before you get all holsters that allow easier switching, but you still have to deal with really slow selection within a slot. In many battles that has caused me to fumble trying to select a weapon during combat to get to the weapon I want to use in a tough fight. It just gets to be a pain in The Last and it feels like a poor design choice.

I have come around to a newfound appreciation for this game. It has a really neat look and plays really well with an AMD CPU/GPU combo on a Free Sync Premium screen. The only aspect of it I don't care for is the fighting mechanic but that is honestly more on me and the fact that I prefer using controller than K/M (and because I suck).

This Cyberpunk:2077 grows on you, I tell you...I remember back in the day I went in just for the main missions and then I was out in four or five days of playing, mostly had to do with that I thought the game was too heavy for my pc and a limited time in the game ought to save my hardware, then I heard that most of the rest of the game was messed up beyond a point where some of it wasn't even playable, I never even saw that at first, only later when I tried to do some more of what the game had to offer did I see some of the parts of the game not playable, Luckly for me I had my preset way of playing, must have done this game I don't know how many times and now it's playable back to front one can really get a new appreciation for it as you say.

Any way latest favorite game: AC: Shadows, opened it a few times just to get a grasp of the core gameplay and the new location and graphics possibilities on my hardware, call me impressed with what they pulled off this time, seen up to 10000Mb of Vram being used on a preset resolution of 1080p and the world looks wonderful.

And the rest of the gameplay is fun and alluring, much still to play.

Yeah if you don't mind the grind of upgrading gear in Origins, it has some great gameplay in it. There's some epic battles, and I really still prefer how you could use the shield more effectively than in Odyssey or Valhalla.

If anyone is into Starfield & wants a long interesting quest line to do, I highly recommend your character joining the UC vanguard & do the quests infiltrating the Crimson fleet. All the quests associated with that playthrough are the most complex I've come across in over 500 hrs already put into Starfield with several different character builds & play throughs.

I really enjoyed that mission, how you go about it has significant consequences 😁 i landed on the right side for me.

Yeah, that quest line really puts the game in a whole new level for me. I was surprised Bethesda went to a lot of work to get that whole thing up there. The quest line is the most complex I've ever done in any Bethesda game to date & that is saying a lot considering I have many many hours up in Skyrim & all its DLCs as well as FO4 & all its DLCs too.
