hello,

corsair includes no instructions for 600t

this is my first build. the 600t came with 3 fan connectors that have 3 pins and my motherboard has 4 pin connectors. i found out how to connect these, and understand the 4th wire is for fan control from the bios.

also, in the case, are four fan connectors along with a molex connector(to PSU). the fan controller for these is in the front of the case, so i removed the 3 fan connections from the motherboard,
removed the caps(where there are just 2 prongs for connecting to a 3 pin female).
this is untested as of yet, but so far so good.

my problem is the 4th is a fan connector that goes to the fan for the cpu. this is different.
i read that if i do not connect to the fan controller in the 600t , the fan control in front - will not work.

also , i read that connecting it to the fan controller could somehow be dangerous for the cpu.

summary:
so cpu fan to the case- dangerous.
cpu fan to motherboard --no fan case control

i am looking for suggestions.

thanks,

craig

Your CPU fan should always go into the "CPU fan" (or similar) header on your motherboard.
You can fiddle with the settings in the BIOS, but by default it will control the fan automatically to control temperatures.

There shouldn't be a reason to need to control your CPU fan from the case.
