Corsair Crystal 570X ATX Case Review

Nice! I sw Fry's had a one day instore sale that was thirty bucks off on it. And yeah, the cable side is narrow. I ended up leaving the cover off because I couldn't manage the 240-pin with all the others. I need to find an alternative, maybe run it straight down. But now I'm just happy it's closed. I'm gonna order two sickle masters to replace the the ones I put on top and I'll be set, too. Enjoy!

Yea I still have to do the MIR.

One question, did you have any problems with the front logo not lighting up? Mine isn't.

I was able to fit my 24pin and 2 8 pin PCIe cables along with a few others with the cover. Just needed to be very creative.

Otherwise the case looks great.

Check the connections. The logos on mine are lit on the front bottom and side.

Yea the side is but it also uses a SATA plug. I did check the fronts connections last night and they all seem solid. Must have just gotten unlucky and gotten a faulty cable for it. Will contact Corsair on it. Even so I am not going to die without it. The LEDs on the HD120s are sexy enough.

You got a rebate? I just looked and it wasn't offered in the US. I bought on Dec, 1st. How much? Yeah just RA it, they've nest customer service. They charge more for it but is is DEFINITELY worth it.

The rebate was $20 bucks so the case costs $154, pretty much the same as my 500R that I bought at launch.

Damn. I looked it up on their site and it said "not available in my country" here in the US.

Well that's odd. Because I am in Arizona. Unless it became a independent country and I didn't notice it is still in the US. And I didn't even know that Frys was outside of the US.

No I believe you John. The SP's come with the case and personally I'd prefer them but if someone where to say spend the extra $$$ just to have the HD's. Can they be controlled by the case as jimmy stated. I was just pointing out that they feature the HD's in some of the pictures, so you'd think there's some kind of compatibility after swapping the internal light controls and hub. I'd be pretty pissed if I spent just as much money on the HD120's as the case, only to find out that the buttons on the case won't do anything for em'

Well I was at Frys Electronics the other day picking up memory for a system at work and when I go there I always check the cases and other stuff to see if they have anything new and they had, to my surprise, the Crystal 570x. At least one in stock. So I grabbed it and 4 of the HD120s and 2 of the ML120s (those to replace the fans for my H100i). All I had to swap out was the small control box in the upper right, the part with the buttons. The 6 port hub and the buttons on top of the case work and control the fans just fine.

I will say that actually wiring in the case is a bit harder than with my 500R, not as much room behind the tray and I will probably re-do some, eventually will buy new cables for my AX860i as the stock ones are a bit meh.

Other than that I am happy as can be with it. Looks gorgeous with the HD120s.

Good to hear. Yeah didn't think they would do a photo shoot with the HD's and them not working. I'm sure the smoky glass supresses the light a little on them just right.

Just acquired mine in the MAIL They sure packed it well enough to survive the standard mail delivery all the way across the country. Made sure I paid the Extra few for insurance though.

Just gotta wait till the new wave of CPU's come out, till I figure the guts. Then I can see her lit up.

I like the fact there's mounting holes on the bottom for a pump. I know where that's going. Just pondering if it will look better with a 360mm Rad in front over a 240mm. More is better right? 😀

Yes, you hit it on the head actually: the glass's tint is perfect for subduing the brightness of the fans. Some of the colors are brighter than others, like the white or orange settings, but I've only used the green so far. And the packing was great. Especially the big sack they had it in. I put it over the case when I've had to leave for more than a few days and plan to leave my rig off. The other thing I really like was the magnetic filter attachments. The front three fans pick up a lot of crap in my place so I clean the filters bi-weekly with air blasts.

I bought a 5 gallon air compressor just to be able to blow dust out properly from my PC.
