Freddy here, thanks in advance for the help. Ryzen 5 2600 running at default speed( I gave up trying to OC, it just wont let me take it up at all) , Asus B450 Pro 4 mobo. RAM is 3600 DDR4. It will let me take it up to 3000, however anything above that and my games crash and other bad things happen. Do I need a better mobo like a x570 to make the ram run at 3600 or at least 3400 ? Any help or advice much appreciated.

The 2600 only supports up to 2933/3000mhz, so if you aren't able to overclock it, you won't get past 3000 mhz on your ram. The B450 Pro 4 also only goes up to 3200 on overclock

Are you sure it's not Asrock because only they have Pro4 ?
Anyway if it's Asus, XMP is called DOCP, you have to enable it and set to XMP 3600, there's most probably another XMP for 2400MHz.
RAM sticks should be in A2 and B2 slots for proper operation.
