[SOLVED] Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2x16GB not running at 3200

Hello everyone,
a year ago I bought a new pc, including the Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2x16GB 3200.
As mobo I bought the Taichi x470. Up then I used to have a problem to make the ram run at 3200Mhz. The problem was that in order to activate the dual channeling I needed to place the RAM in the 2nd and 4th slot. Problem solved up then without anything else to be touched!
Today out of curiosity I did some tests again and I see that they are back running at 2133 .. thing is that on CPU-Z the dual channeling is active
Any suggestion on how to proceed by any chance? Thank you!

Ps: I wish I could post some pics but it seems that there is a problem with the website and an error pops up when I try to attach one.

Edit: I also tried to manually set the profile to 3200Mhz in the Bios but that doesn't work. Computer restarts 3 times and at the end switches back to 2133

Not all Ryzen CPUs run at that speed. Which one do you have?

But I repeat, up then everything was super fine!

Try 3200 again but bump the voltage up 0.02 volts.

If that fails try 2933 /3000 at the correct voltage.

Why would I need to modify the voltage now all of a sudden? I tried to set the profile at 3000 in the BIOS and it seems to work! But still it's not what's meant to be..

While that is Technically accurate, it doesn't really tell the whole story.
Almost every AM4 MB can run RAM faster than 2933 with a Ryzen 2000 or 3000 CPU.
My 2600 on an Asus ROG Strix B450-F can rum RAM at 3200 and even 3400.

And Ryzen 3000 chips are stated by AMD to only run 3200 RAM BUT most people with Ryzen 3000 CPUs run 3600-3800 RAM kits without any issues.
My Asus ROG Strix X470-F / 3700x rig runs 3733 RAM without any issues at all.

His Asrock X470 Taichi states it can run 3200 RAM with a Ryzen 3000 CPU.

For whatever reason, the Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM seems to have issues running properly on Ryzen PCs.

Over clocks that were stable a year ago can become unstable over time. That is why I said try 3200 but bump the voltage up by 0.02 volts.

That is certainly worth a try.
Settting the DRAM Voltage to 1.36, 1.37 or 1.38 (instead of 1.35) might just do the trick.

It could also be a BIOS issue, if the OP updated his BIOS to a newer version (that is really meant for Ryzen 3000 CPUs).
I had that issue on my B450-F / 2600 rig.
I updated the BIOS (to a version with AGESA 1.0.0.3ABBA) to test my 3700x and when I reinstalled my 2600 my RAM would not run at 3400 like they did when I had the older BIOS version (with AGESA 1.0.0.6).
I downgraded the BIOS (which was a bit of a pain) and it runs at 3400 again.

Which is why I tell people to stay away from Corsair LPX when they're looking for recommendations for their Ryzen builds.

No issue using them with Intel, but with Ryzens it's a whole different story.

that's far away from my current settings haha Should I bring the DRAM Voltage to 1.225 ?

Found the problem guys, the XMP profile must be set on ON and not AUTO.
Weird thing is that I didnd't update the BIOS, ever.. so I am wondering how possibly those settings changed from when I set them up the first time..
