The PC6400 C4D Dominator has never been sent to reviewers so I don't know of any review links for you. If you are looking for a good set of memory with some OCing headroom to run faster than PC6400, then the PC6400 Dominator is not the best choice as it is made with a different IC (Promos, not Micron) than those used in the PC8500 and faster Dominator kits. All Dominator PC8500 and up use Micron ICs only.

If you want OCing headroom and you are interested in Dominator, get the PC8500 or faster speed grade. Also, the PC6400C3D Dominator (Micron ICs) runs low latencies AND typically will clock very well with relaxed timings.

The 800mhz dominator memory modules are not good. Do not buy them.

The 800mhz dominator memory modules use promo ics instead of handpicked Micron D9's that are found in the pc2-8500 version. The D9's allow for much higher overclocks and much higher stability.

Also, Corsair made note of this, because early on in the game Corsair said all the Dominators would use Miron D9's...then in version 2....the pulled a "Bait and Switch." Corsair is currently offering to make ammends with people that purchased the ram before Nov 28th thinking that they got Micron D9's.

I suggest you go with the SuperTalent 800mhz or the Buffalo Firestix 800mhz. Both those modules use Micron D9's

huh? but the others said only the 8500 uses micron ICs..

anyway, my main qn has not been answered.
For accurate info about a specific Corsair product I would suggest that you get the info from a Corsair employee or our website or you vendor.

In a nutshell, yes, the Dominator is a better design than our XMS. The Dominator heat sink design was designed based on study by Micron and it increases OCability and should also extend the lifespan of the ICs.

Happy Holidays.
