Corsair Dominator

I'm upgrading from a system I build 2 years ago (i7 920, Asus P6T, 2x 4850) and building a 3930k, 7xxx system. Will I be losing (gaming) performance by installing my older Corsair Dominator 1600 memory, or should I spring for newer technology like Vengenance Blue?

It should be good in the new system. Just adjust the BIOS RAM settings for the speed and latencies of the Dominator RAM (printed on the RAM stickers).

For socket 2011 systems, ideally you will need to install 4, or 8 modules depending on which MOBO you have. An X58 kit is not the ideal number of modules for your new system.
