I've read some reviews that the Corsair H70 is loud, is that because the fans that come with it are loud? I assume if you switch out the fans it could be quieter right? and that the reason for the loudness is not coming from pump itself?
pumps usually arent loud at all. and with the loudness of fans its just what you prefer in your room. i have 4 fans that are about 120cf/m and about 30-40db each running while i game but its fine for me. but for some people that might be WAY to loud.
when im nto gaming it goes down to 50% and its almost silent. if you wanna get it and are worried that its to loud then just get a fan controler.
Why not go with, say, Megahalems or other quality heatsink? Unless you have an insanely OCed i7, a push-pull configuration with some slowly rotating quiet fans is going to be just as efficient and nearly silent.
I have an RC-690 case, and i was thinking ofone of those big ass CPU coolers, but I dont think that its big enough, or theres going to be minimal clearance. So instead of grinding stuff down i just wanted to keep it nice and simple without a lot of junk going on in the case.
What do you mean by 2 position switch? I just ordered the Scythe Slipstreams 1200RPM model for the Corsair H70 radiator, they have lower dB and higher CFM, dont know how legit it is, but i guess we'll find out.
