Hey guys

Have a question about the Corsair i300 same design as the i200 and i165. I want to change the fan on it to something like noctua 3000rpm just for that bit better cooling. It's not to say the corsair fan in there is bad but I always gone with noctua because they just seem to be so superior. Would a pre built compact pc like that need high airflow or static pressure. The fan is not directly connected to radiator but very close and quite a few obstacles for air to pass in case.

Let me know what other fans would be good choice

Many thanks

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

A bit of both, since that one fan is causing the air to flow in through the openings on the case and help convect the heat out of the chassis. If you look at the fan's pitch, it's not what you find on most fans.

The only issue you might come across is that the prebuilt you speak of comes with a fan with a bespoke length of wire, the connector is the same but the cable's length might impede the fan's movement if not tucked away smartly.

Thankyou for your reply, Very interesting watch that

Not too worried about cable length as can tuck it away like I did with i165 so shouldn't be a problem

The noctua 3000rpm fan can do a bit of both so may go with that. Is there any new fans out there at the moment which are regarded as the best, RGB or non RGB is fine.
