Once I have upgraded my CPU, RAM and Motherboard I will be looking at upgrading my keyboard and mouse. I think I have decided on the following and just wanted to know peoples opinions.

For the keyboard either a Corsiar STRAFE RGB Mechanical Keyboard or the Corsair K70 RGB Keyboard.
For the mouse a Corsair Sabre RGB Gaming Mouse.

The reason for choosing the RGB is because I will be customizing the colours to match my set up and want the different effects that you can get with the software.

Solution
The Strafe is plastic finish while the K70 is aluminum finish. Personally, I like the build-quality of the aluminum. If I were to get the K70 RGB, I'd get the K70 RGB Lux (not the non-lux). The Lux version is an update of the K70 RGB where LED flickering issues were resolved. Also, if it matters to you, the K70 RGB had its USB pass-through removed (which was a downside to a lot of previous Corsair Keyboard users). The USB pass-through was put back in the Lux.

Might want to pair this whole setup with either the MM300 extended mouse pad (if you have a large desk) or if you really like more customizable RGB lights, then the MM800 Polaris. :)

I have the k 70 and the scimitar. CUE gives the the option to load different color profiles per program and the profiles you create are pretty in depth.
I prefer the k 70 to the strafe, but from what I understand there is little difference ( both have cherry reds).
I have had issues with the CUE software on startup where occasionally the mouse is not detected, but you just unplug and replug back in the mouse and it is fixed.
Overall I would recommend the scimitar over the sabre, as CUE lets you create very detailed macros and the scimitar takes the most advantage of this.
