Many said my poor PSU might be responsible for performance and kill pc components/peripherals.
My RIG : MSI gtx 1060 6GB(400W req.), i7-4790(3.6 Ghz), Gigabyte b85 mobo, Corsair vengeance 8 gb DDR3 ram,Corsair VS550W PSU ,Toshiba 500gb(7200 rpm)
So,do I need to change PSU?

Solution
504w 12v is perfectly acceptable (good even) for a unit labelled as 550w

The remainder of 46w is reserved for 3.3v/5v .

People don't like the vs & older corsair CX because of the 30c full power rating & the use of capxcom caps all the way through the unit.
These PSU's do not like to be run at a constant 90%+ load .
You - you're running about 300w max (60-65% load)
There's no reason that vs 550 shouldn't last you a good few years .
Its not great quality , its not awful quality , it's just plain average at best.
If you want to change it do, if you don't, don't - it's not a necessity.

300w? but my graphics card says 400w,mate.

400w is a recommendation by nvidia for what psu you need in a system running a 1060.
That's full system draw & allows for people running really crappy units.
The 1060 is a 120w GPU, some heavily overclocked models may be able to hit 140w - & that is the absolute max if you were stress testing at 100% usage.
You won't ever see above 300w system wide power draw with what you're running.

I've lost count of how many times I said it would be OK. nice to hear someone else say it though.
