Corsair ram what is differant?

Just wanted to know if there is anything differant between these two sets of ram. Besides one being blue and one being black and the price. But is threre any differance between the two?

NOTHING! It's the exact same model, except for the color ;-) And the price on Newegg is actually basically the same, so I don't know what's up with Amazon...

The timing is different. 8-8-8-24 vs 9-9-9-24. But... It makes zero difference. In real time performance you will see zero gains or loss in performance.

The pricing should be exact... Black is more popular maybe?

I don't know where you found these timings, because they are not correct. They are both 9-9-9-24.

Actually, Take a look at the black RAM. Under the "Product Description" Closer to the bottom they have it listed as 8-8-8-24. At the top in the seller description they have it listed as 9-9-9-24. So Chalk that one up to Amazon typo 😛. Not that it matters. The timing will give no noticeable difference for a gaming machine.

I'm used to looking at the tech details or product details when buying something.

The 8-8-8-24 is an Amazon mistake, as you can actually read the timings directly in the modelname. If it ends with C9, then it has the CAS 9 latency (9-9-9-24), and that's exactly what they both do. The "B" just stands for blue. And if you look them up on Newegg, they are listed as 9-9-9-24 as well. Sorry mate, but you're not going to win this time ;-)

What exactly was I trying to win? I wasn't arguing... I merely pointed out that Amazon made a mistake. I didn't look at the modelname or anything else. I merely looked at the product description for both and the price and gave my opinion on the price difference 😉.
