Corsair Raptor HS40 Humming/Buzzing. Follow up to "USB Headset Buzzing/Humming Mic (Corsair Raptor HS40)

This didn't work for me. For one, when I go on to microphone properties, all I see is AGC with a tick on the box. Secondly, when I put the mic near the wire or the usb or anywhere on my laptop, the sound quietens to the point where it's very difficult to notice, if not impossible to hear. Any reasons why this might be? If possible, would there be any resolutions to this particular problem? I'm open to any suggestions/answers, so long as they are possible to do/available. Thanks ^_^

I'm using a laptop, and I've tried both USB ports but it doesn't make a difference. I can still hear buzzing, but luckily on Skype and other livechat channels, they can barely hear it on their end. But, when I record my voice, I hear the buzzing.
