Hey there,
I am building my new HTPC / Home-Server which will use the following components:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B250N-WIFI-Phoenix
CPU: Intel G4600
Cooler: Cryorig C1
I am still in need of RAM. According to Gigabyte my Motherboard should support 2400MHz when using a Kaby Lake CPU (which I do).
I have 2x RAM slots and want to end up with 16GB RAM.
Since I will be using the integrated Intel GPU, I thought I would profit from faster/better RAM.
So my thinking is: 2400MHz with lowest possible CL ?
CMK16GX4M2A2400C14 (Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x 8GB DDR4 2400MHz CL14) should fit that category quite well. Also I just made a deal on it for ~100€. I think it is pretty much the fastest RAM I could get? Or should I go for something else? Or is this overkill for my motherboard/CPU anyway?
Does this have any overclock capabilities? E.g. setting it to a lower CL or so?
Thanks in advance !
