I'm thinking of upgrading my CPU to AMD, and I was looking at AMD FX-9590. The problem is that I'm afraid that my H80 can't cool it because, the CPU runs really hot (220w usage).

Anyone who have the H80 Cosair cooler and the CPU that can confirm I won't have any trouble?

Notice this is a H80 not a H80I

All help are appreciated, regards Mirzet

Solution
It is not a good idea to use the H80 with the FX-9590. Many people reported they couldn't keep the system stable and quiet with the combination.
You'd have to use dual radiator AIO Liquid Cooling systems to keep that running OK. On the other hand, though, the Noctua NH-D15 appears to be capable of keeping this CPU running OK.
Well, if you need Micro-ATX, Z170 & DDR3, your only real option is the ASUS motherboard. I've looked around the web and it seems to be the only viable way.
That is unless you're willing to sell your DDR3 RAM and buy DDR4 to go with the new board and find a wider range of boards compatible with your setup.

You do realize there's a section dedicated to best CPU for x amount of $ right?? Check it out, read the reviews, and find what fits your budget.

The FX-9590 is not for the average power user or even the average overclocker. I currently have a FX-9590 and it's VERY stable @ 5.1 GHz and it will outperform i5.

A. You do realise that this topic is 9 months old?
B. I find that incredibly hard to believe. IPC on FX is complete shit and is beaten out by most modern i3's
C. AM3+ is a completely dead platform and has been for a very long time
