[SOLVED] Cost of IBM VS Intel G5's

My friend is shopping for a performance Mac for the purpose of graphics and we're left with the questions: Will a IBM G5 limit access to the latest graphics software ( like CS5)? If so, what is the lowest price point for an preowned or rebuilt Intel Desktop? There seems to be an abundance of late model well tooled IBM G5's on the aftermarket, and if you know where the intels are hiding, we're all ears.

A G5 Mac will not limit access, it will just be slower.
If you want to get a mini, go for the intel one at all costs, otherwise, avoid the G5 mini like the plague.

If you want an Intel one, cheaper early versions are on ebay.

As Apple never made a G5 Mini the advice to avoid one is good.

The G4 Mini is fine running Tiger, struggles with Leopard, and can't run later versions.
