Hey guys! So I'm looking for a good fan that moves a lot of air to improve airflow. My GPU tends to overheat and the way my case is set up, adding a top fan would blow directly onto my GPU. Hopefully that would help keep it cooler!

Anyways, I looked at this fan and it has great reviews, what do you think? Any better suggestions?

So would adding a fan on top as an intake be a bad idea? One sec, let me get some pics of what I'm working with here. Thanks for replying!

Two words...heat rises.
Two other words...air flow.

You want to move air through the case, not just blow it around.
In the front, out the back/top.

Blonde moment LOL Alrighty, here's some pics of my situation.

I have an intake in front, probably some crappy generic fan, and an exhaust in the back, again, probably some crappy generic brand. I bought this PC already assembled and am slowly adding to it piece by piece. Would adding exhaust fans on top help with GPU heat in this scenario? If you need any other specific information, let me know.

A top exhaust fan might help.
Is there a space on the side panel for a fan? That would help far more.
Blowing directly on the GPU.

Also...that looks to be a spectacularly cheesy little CPU cooler.
What CPU is this? And, I hesitate to ask, but ...a prebuilt from where?

I think my only options here would be those 2 top fan slots, or changing the front or back fan to something better, unsure which route to take in this case. Would do you think would be my best bet here? That GPU reaches 90C with newer games (run on max settings)

And the CPU? It's an AMD FX-6300. That's the cooler that came with the PC, haven't changed that out yet. This prebuilt is an iBuyPower PC I got from Walmart's website, It was very low end, but I'm trying to fix it to my liking. Here's a link to the exact PC in question.

It is reaching high temps because that GPU is seriously underpowered for what you are trying to make it do. It is struggling.
Among other major issues with that system.

Add another fan, any fan, for the top. Exhaust out the top.
Changing the front and rear fans to some other fans won't help things.

OK...I was reacting off the stock GPU in the Walmart specs. No prob.

Alright cool, yea sorry I could have mentioned I changed the GPU and power supply, my bad. I'll probably try some exhaust fans on top, it seems like my best option. What fan would you recommend for some serious exhaust power?

EDIT: Would a static pressure fan work better or should I go with an airflow fan for this? It's kind of hard to choose, this case has pretty narrow slats at the top for heat dissipation, and it's in a pretty confined space. Sounds like static pressure would be better, but I'm also new to this.

Thanks, I'll look into those! Probably the next thing I'll do once I get the GPU temp down. Not sure if I should get a static pressure fan or a high airflow fan, what do you think?

Cool thanks! I'll do some reading and try and find the best airflow fans I can. Hopefully this helps me GPU heating issue.
