Could a display setting cause no output detected error prompt on the monitor screen?
I was using my PC with Radeon Graphics and Adreneline software on a HDR LG Monitor with HDMI. It was fine
The New owner of the PC has a Dell Gaming Monitor hooked to the GPU with an HDMI cable. The Dell Monitor responds only with "no signal detected.":
We tried switching upbetween HDMI 1, HDMI 2 - but to no avail
The SAME Dell Gaming monitor had been preciously used to run an XBOX and it works for that
We did a Factory reset of the Dell Monitor
So, the Dell Gaming monitor works for the XBOX but not the PC
The guy that bought the PC from me had an older cracked busted curved gaming monitor that he threw a beer can at thought the screen was totally busted but turns out- it just has a huge black crack down the middle.
And We tried that AND - IT WORKS - we have display although it is totally a broken screen.... so...
We have HDMI output on My LG gaming monitor a this house
Also - HDMI output on his broke screen at his house
\
BUT Only Get 'no signal' from the Dell Gaming monitor via HDMI various HDMI inputs chosen
Does the PC and themonitor need to be turned on at the same time?
Should the monitor be ON then boot up the PC?
I'm losing my mind
