My budget is actually 1000 AUD (655 USD, the above list is in AUD just FYI) but I had trouble fitting it in but I'm very much open to getting used and I'm gonna try and get some deals on black Friday/cyber monday. This is gonna be for 1080p gaming at 60 fps. This is for a family member.

It's use case is gonna be a living room gaming/media PC with a controller (so I also gotta fit that in the budget as well which will probably be ~100 AUD). We don't care about noise levels (too far away to notice) or creature comforts, smaller is better but not a requirement, only real preference for looks is no RGB, but if something comes with it, it can just be turned off. Basically, we are just looking for pure performance for whatever will fit in our price.

Agreed that you want a good quality 650-750w PSU.

The Intel 670p is a good alternative SSD if you find it cheaper than the WD Blue.

You should definitely be able to find a board and CPU cheaper than that given many people are moving to AM5 and will be selling old parts to offset cost.

I'm hoping that there will be some nice black friday and cyber monday deals for those parts since I figure that theres going to be stock that the shops will want to clear out. But I'll be keeping an eye on ebay and facebook as well. I really should probably grab another fan as well since the case only comes with one.

Had a look again for another PSU and spotted the Corsair CV-750 https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product...onze-certified-atx-power-supply-cp-9020237-na

Thats a pretty nice list as well, fitting a gold PSU and a 6750 is pretty impressive at this price point. Airflow looks much better in that case as well. Gen 4 NVME is also very welcome.

Do you think it's worth the hit it'll take to CPU performance though? And last time I built was back when first gen ryzen came out, do their stock coolers still hold up?
