Hi all. I have a GTX 770 2gb, 16gig ram, an i76700 4.0Ghz boost and an 120gb ssd. I was planning on upgrading my graphics card to a 1070 GTX, but because of personal things, I can't buy this card till next year.

I was wondering if I needed it, I have Doom, but I can play this at High and I'm satisfied with it. I mostly play cod, and yeah I know I'm going to have a hard time but, I'll learn, and I also mostly play league. I have played Rise Of The Tomb Raider on ultra and it was doable, but my card reached 80 degrees easaly and I had some lagg and framedrops. I don't know if that's good or bad. Anyway, with battlefield, I would like to play the single player at ultra 30 FPS. Is this possible, or will I have lagg?

Also, is there a big diffrence between high and ultra?

Thank you for answering.
Kind regards
Phil

ok great, my card does get hot with these games. I have a gaming app from MSI and I can click on this fansign to speed up the fans, I also can run games safely in OC mode. Does this all help to cool my card? How long can I play this game at such high temperatures?

Especially in first person shooter games, you should be aiming to run at 60fps. Adjust your settings so that the game looks as good as possible while staying around 60fps. Don't get too obsessed with the actual video settings. You'll be needing a high framerate for good in-game experience, the graphics settings is just the "eye-candy," and won't actually help you play better.

I'd agree if it was multiplayer, but he seems to be aiming for singeplayer more.
