Hi!
Ive posted a few times now about my pc not booting with dual channel, only on slots 3 and 4. I RMAd my motherboard thinking its motherboard issue and they contacted me back saying theres one pin bent and transistor burnt above dimm slots. I was relieved, knowing that the issue was on motherboard, i thought. I bought new motherboard from someone on the internet and picked it up f2f. Checked as well as i could with bare eyes, no bent pins and everything seemed well.
I came home and built my pc back. Now with the new motherboard, i am getting the exact same issue. Every component is the same except motherboard. I have 4 ram sticks and every single one of them works on slots 3 and 4. My sticks were bought in same package. Could it be cpu issue ? If so is it something i could get a new one from warranty or users fault.
For the record, everything worked fine for a year or so, only until last year when i changed my fluids from cooling system. I took off my cpu and rams back then, and cleaned cpu and installed back on. Ive been just using 2 ram sticks for better part of an year on single channel until now. Only until last week i started to take action and RMAd motherboard.
Full pc specs:
MB: MSI M6 AC (old one was asus maximus IX hero)
CPU: i7-7700K
RAM: G.Skill TridentZ 3466mhz CL16 4x8gb
GPU: Asus geforce gtx 1080 strix A OC
PSU: EVGA supernova G2 750W
SSD: M.2 samsung 960 EVO 250gb as my windows drive
I also have toshiba 250gb and couple HDDs but thats probably irrelevant(?)
