I am building my very first pc, and i would like to know if the build i made is compatible and if it is, is it good.

Here it is:
-AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor
-Corsair 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
-Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
-VisionTek Radeon R9 290X 4GB Video Card
-Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case
-Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
-Corsair CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
-Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

Thanks to anyone who answers this.

AMD and Radeon are both very power hungry and corsair CX series PSU's are not very good, ill suggest you this one instead: XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply //...

What motherboard and that psu looks cheap for an amd setup. Get something bigger and more reliable evga.

Also your CPU cooler has been recommed too much and that has pushed the prices up so there are better ones for same or less money out there.

CRYORIG H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler // http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cryorig-cpu-cooler-h7
RAIJINTEK THEMIS 65.7 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler // http://pcpartpicker.com/part/raijintek-cpu-cooler-0p105255

Change your ram to a 2x4GB option instead of 1x8GB to use dual channel mode.

And you might want to add a motherboard in there:
