It isn't something to joke about and take lightly. Making disgusting jokes not welcomed in this article. Let's keep it clean, please. Thanks / Tuan[/citation]

Common, we are talking about a Chinese hacker here...

Don't blame the kids. They are the victims. Blame the violent video games they play. It's terrible how these games promote violence.
they should put valve and the counterstrike creators in jail for teaching kids to shoot and stab people. this is just terrible.
How can anyone blame someone for their actions when all this terrible negative media influences are bombarding them with violence.
People don't kill people.. violent games do.. well and knives... And what about the knife?
They should put the knife on trial for being so deadly and sharp.
How dare that knife be so easily used as a weapon. they should ban video games and knives. Terrible just terrible.
We should all ban together and throw out our knives and video games.
It will make the world a much better place.
Oh yeah.. and they should make guns that shoot marshmallows instead of bullets. - Are you catching my sarcasm .. i thought so :)

You guys should really have put up a WARNING or made the image a link instead. If someone wanted to look at it they could have made a choice.

When I first saw the article, not going to lie, I thought about how when you would play counterstrike and you would see an idle player you would switch to your knife to get your knife headshot count up. I really thought that someone took that to a real life situation, not over a fight in a cafe. When I was in college two guys from different floors got in a fight over CS due to one saying the other was using a "ping masker". Nothing to this extent though

Um, you can blame tomshardware switching hands and not sticking to the actual meat of the IT world and being lazy with their article choices - not the posters. And if you guys didn't want comments like this why bother putting up a comment box? At least I haven't seen any PWND comments but then again, what other comments do you want? "This is terrible" can only be said so many times without introducing humor in some form.

NO MORE CENSORSHIP!!! DOWN WITH CHINA BOOOO!!!! (kidding)

[citation][nom]bryonsrt4[/nom]PWNED!! I thought knife kills were instant in games! C'mon at least in Modern Warfare 2 they drop with a swing of the knife lol.[/citation]

Ok I rescind that comment... Still - what'd you expect? Did you even see the comments on the meat thermometer article?

Kind of reminds me of people who are just asking for it - both the article and the moderation of comments on the articles.

Shame on the kid for underestimating the emotions of another person, and shame on you for thinking a comment box would be used in a civil and honorable manner. Just imagine if you will, the age ranges of people with the ability to comment on here - I'm outta here permanently if this turns into a runescape language filter... this article isn't for kids, and as such, neither is your audience.

Oh my, that is horrible.

(BTW, everything in life is meant to joke about. We can't change the past, we can only make the future better, and humour is a good way to capture people's attention.)

Gamers who cheat in competitive online multilayer games are not doing humanity any good. To non Counter-Strike players: Cheating is highly frustrating to fair players and will get you banned from all official playing servers - it is against the rules of the server and against the morality of any gamer.

I know many Counter-Strike players who don't admit to cheating, but it's been proven without a doubt that in their private homes they cheat. These same people are involved with criminal activity such as street racing, drug dealing and needles to say own a number of illegal firearms.

Yes, I am making the link between people who break the law and people who cheat in online multiplayer games. I have seen enough with my own eyes to formulate an opinion on this topic..

While I can't stand a cheater (try playing combat arms >_< )I think this was more of a testosterone fueled teenage bout turned bad. Granted, yes, the kid sustained life threatening injuries. However, he's not dead. I can definately see a bit of grim and dark humor in the situation, though it doesn't change the suck factor he's going through.

The kid had it coming, and I don't feel sorry for him. Yeah I said it.
- Cheating angers people
- There was an argument about it. He could have apologized or quit, but aparantly he didn't.
- Somebody over-reacted

It's a bad idea to go into a public place and intentionally anger a bunch of people. You might get shot, stabbed, or beat up.

This is common sense and it applies to all situations especially in cases where males are competing (sports or video games).

If you jump off a cliff, you deserve what happens next.

That kid has some huge head if he had a 30cm knife bury almost completely into it at that angle. Yet another story beefed up by inacurate facts for some visitors.

People have kind of taken this article out of hand. The boy didn't get knifed because he was cheating. He got knifed because he was in a fight, (even if the fight came because he was cheating.)

Once a fight starts, people don't think much along the lines of "I'll stab him in the head because he shot me through a wall in a game...." , it's more like "He's PUNCHING MEEEEEEEEeeee......"
He never should have been stabbed. He also never should have cheated. And they never should have fought.
I just don't like hearing people saying things like "People are taking games to seriously these days" thinking that he got stabbed for cheating. People are taking their pride to seriously these days, and the punk with the knife likely would have done the same over an argument over which team should win the World Cup. Who brings a knife to an internet cafe unless he expects to need to use it either there or on the way there?

That said, I think the kid who cheated in the fight was much worse than the kid who cheated in the game.

its amazing that no one questioned why the **** did a kid have a 30cm knife in an internet cafe in the first place. and yeah, i agree, Tom shame on you for posting the warning on the same page with the images...

[citation][nom]Tindytim[/nom]Would you prefer 500 "Oh my, that is horrible" replies?[/citation]

Hi Tindytim, good to see u again

man this article is crazy. I hope there isn't an infection after all..hopefully all is well. people shouldn't go that nuts over anything computer related.

Have a sense of humor I can't believe my post was deleted. Moderate This! Its unfortunate that you are not allowing people to speak their minds. Toms Hardware is sorta like China, censoring peoples voices. Good Job Tom's Hardware let your moderators ruin everything that is good about America. Is Tom's moving to China now. Oh and I bet your FOR the new Heath care plan right!?!?! (Don't know why I added that but it was funny none the less!)
