Hi!I have recently made a new computer however it is not booting up.The cpu and gpu fans are spining for a bit and then they stop.I am using a dq57tm motherboard.I doubt it is a psu problem since i r3cently changed it and the same goes for the cpu. There are 2 lights on the motherboard.A green and a red one.If anyone thinks I've got wrong the front panel link a photo on how it could be.I can hear no beeps btw.

Just as a general rule of thumb, make sure all connections are properly secured, and by that I mean the main power connectors. The 24-pin power cable, the GPU connectors, etc.

Does your motherboard have any other LED's? Mine for example, has an LED for each system (GPU, CPU, RAM) and it will light up to indicate which system is failing in the POST procedure.

However, this issue does sound like it could be a PSU problem. Of course that doesn't mean it IS in fact the PSU, it could just be a component not being secured, for example, if your GPU wasn't slotted in properly, it could cause issues with it's ability to POST (I've had that happen to me before).
"some 550 power supply" is not very reassuring.

Wattage does not measure quality. One company's 550w psu can actually support a 550w load, do it efficiently and safely, while another company's 550w psu cant handle 300w safely and when it dies it takes out the rest of your computer with it.

I forgot I had this left open, anyway it turned out to be a dead cpu.Not so much of a loss since it was a really cheap one.Got another one and everything works. Thanks anyway!
