CPU and GPU quite hot when streaming

Hello people, I got a problem.
When I stream games like Rocket League, PUBG, CSGO, I get quite high temps on my CPU and GPU.

CPU load gets around 90%
GPU around 87 Celcius

I got a i7 7700k not overclocking.
I got a GTX 1070 Turbo 8GB.
I have alot of airflow in the case.
I got a Corsair H100i cooling the cpu.
I got a 750W power supply Gold ( not sure which one )

WHat case do you have, how do you have your fans set up (intake/exhaust) and whats the ambient temp in the room?

A picture of the inside of your case would help as well.

The 7700k runs hot when under heavy load. And for gaming + streaming you are pushing it.

As for your GPU it would be nice to know what kind of a 1070 you have?

And as already stated: What kind of case do you have, what kind of fans, how many, and how are they set up.

Alright so I have a NZXT S340 Elite
As seen on the picture below I got a fan on the top side of the pc, and one to the left, then behind the H100i
I got my 3 exhaust fans.

So to confirm, the rear, top, and side fans are all intake, and your exhausts are pulling from the radiator out?

Thats a really bad airflow setup. All your heat is being flushed out through the radiator, which is blocking up the airflow out so you just have a hot zone in there.

Flip the top and rear fans to exhaust. You'll have a negative pressure setup, not great for dust intake, but it will draw all that heat out from your GPU, VRMs, etc. I'd also consider moving the radiator fans to the inside to push air through the radiator.

I got a fan at the top part of the case, and one to the left, thanks for the advice I will see what I can do.

What are your idle temperatures?
I expect to see 10-15c. over ambient if your cooler is mounted well and is functioning properly.

Nice clean case.
The primary source for cooling air will be the front intakes feeding the cooler radiator.
You can replace them with higher rpm units, but at the cost of more noise.
Your radiator mount is the best for cooling the cpu, but the cpu heat will tend to increase the graphics card temperature.
If you mounted the radiator as exhaust, your cpu cooling would not bs as good.
Pick your poison.

Are you overclocking?
If so, I think your cpu and gpu temperatures are about normal.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. You said that the top, rear, and side fans are all intake. The top and rear fans need to be exhaust, flip them over.

If i'd do that I wouldn't have intake fans though? wouldn't I need to change the fans behind the h100i too for intake?

You're going to leave the side fan as an intake. The radiator fans you always want exhausting outward. Your mistake is trying to exhaust everything through the radiator, it just blocks up way too much flow.

So ignoring the radiator, you currently have 3 fans as intake, 2 of them (the high ones) need to be exhaust to get the hot air from your GPU out, as well as any heat from the VRMs.

I get it now, thanks.. although I only have 1 fan at the top part of the case and one to the left, so 2 fans and 2 behind the cpu cooler. will this matter?

AH ok I got it now, I am sorry I thought you said you had an additional side fan. Now reviewing the case I see you have a glass panel so none of that.

This changes things. What I would consider is still making those two fans exhaust, and then pull your radiator and make those fans intake, with the radiator on the inside (as you have it set now). This will allow for the natural flow of hot air up and out of the system which may bring your temps down. The way you have it now, there is just nowhere for the gpu hot air to go.

So the Idle temperatures are indeed between 10 - 15c.
And I am not overclocking my CPU or GPU.

So if I understand this right, I change the top and left one to exhaust and leave the h100i with the fans behind like it is?

Close. Correct on flipping the top and left to exhaust, but then pull your radiator, and flip those fans as well making them intake, to push air through the radiator into the case. This will allow those exhaust fans to take that hot air and anything from the GPU up and out in the natural direction of heat.

Alright, so I did what You said Rogue Leader, and it works! my CPU and GPU don't get that hot any more, they now hang around 70 - 85 c. thank you for the help, and thanks to everyone else for the options too!

Excellent glad it worked out.

For future builds always work towards the basics of having heat go UP and out instead of down and out, and be careful of airflow with radiators. You'll be set.
