I bought an Asus G732LXS-XS94 with an i9-10980hk overclocked cpu in august of 2020. I noticed some gradual changes in cpu performance over the last 6 months. Last week, i noticed my cpu temps were between 90 and 100 celsius just doing simple tasks. At idle it was jumping from 48 to 100 at idle, up and down consistently. I had a local pc repair shop reapply thermal paste to the cpu and gpu and a thorough cleaning of the cpu and gpu fans. Here are some pics of the cpu die and how Xotic PC applied the thermal grizzly compound and after it was cleaned off. Can someone tell me if these pics indicate any burn marks?

I was told by the technician that the thermal pad, shown in the pics, was ate away from improper application of the compound. Is this something i should try and have them replace?
