CPU can't handle 4k movie

My specs are:
16 Gb DDR3 Ram 1600mHz
gtx 780
i7 4770k

I am on windows 7 x64. I tried running a 4k movie just now but my cpu usage shoots to 100%, with a temperature of 80c+ and the movie has frame drops. I tried running it with BSplayer, VLC mediaplayer, SMplayer and 5kplayer, all with similar results. I don't know much about 4k and movies, but shouldn't my pc be able to handle a 4k movie?

What's the codec and bitrate of the video?

640 kb/s? Are you sure about that? That's much too low. (That's probably the audio bitrate) And I'm asking for video codec and not audio codec. For example h.265, h.264 etc. And BTW, your PC is able to handle a 4k movie without any serious load.

Sorry, the codec is h.265 and I am not sure how to check the bitrate.
